Toei Animation's specials come to life in this comic adaptation: In Planet Vegeta, a Saiyan born as Kakarrot witnesses his father Bardock gain the ability to foresee the future. As he foresees the treachery of Freeza towards the Saiyans, Bardock attempts to resist only to watch as Freeza destroys their planet and all Saiyans, except for Kakarrot, who flees to Earth. The legendary story of Dragon Ball unfolds from there... The Artificial Humans have ravaged the future, with only two Z Warriors left- Gohan and Trunks. As they strive to protect the future, Gohan tragically perishes in their battle, leaving Trunks to become a Super Saiyan. However, even his newfound strength is inadequate against the brutal foes they face, prompting him to journey back to the past in search of a glimmer of hope.
