Terra Formars

The Mars mission prompted scientists in the 21st century to devise a budget-friendly method of warming up the planet, making it habitable to humans. Their solution entailed dispatching cockroaches and mold to the surface, the former serving as sustenance for the latter and the latter absorbing sunlight. As envisioned, the mission would pave the way for humans to thrive on Mars. Fast forward to 2577 and the first manned ship has touched down on the red planet - only to encounter colossal mutated humanoid cockroaches wielding immense physical might. Despite attempts by the six-person crew to fend off the brutes, they are overwhelmed and perish, yet manage to transmit a distress signal back to Earth.
