Loveless summary:
Aoyagi Ritsuka, a sixth-grader, is dealing with a plethora of issues. Two years ago, he mysteriously lost his memory and developed an alternate persona. His mother continuously belittles and physically abuses him, demanding to know where the "real" Ritsuka is. Recently, Ritsuka's older brother and only confidant, Seimei, was killed. However, hope arrives in the form of Seimei's supposed "friend," Soubi. Soubi discloses that Ritsuka's true name is "Loveless," and Seimei tasked him with caring for and protecting Ritsuka. Soubi thrusts Ritsuka into an underground society where teams of individuals use intricately crafted spells; consisting of a "Fighter Unit" and a "Sacrifice," to battle. But amidst this strange new society, Ritsuka searches for answers to the death of his brother, yearning for acceptance and understanding.
