Seaside Stranger: Umibe no Étranger summary:

Shun Hashimoto is an aspiring writer who lives on a tranquil island. After his family cut ties with him because of his sexual orientation, he wanders through each day in a daze. Though he indulges in the breathtaking ocean vistas and the blistering sun, his attention sparks when he notices someone sitting alone on the beach. Mio Chibana, recently orphaned, spends his free time gazing into the vast expanse of seawater. The two contrasting individuals gradually develop a bond, but Mio has to leave for the city to pursue his studies. As Mio bids farewell, he promises to keep in touch and asks Shun to wait for him. Three years go by without a word from Mio until he suddenly resurfaces, confessing his love for Shun. However, Shun seems hesitant - but why?
